FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common Fiber Interface Types

FC Connector:

Ferrule Connector, first used in storage area network. The shell is made of metal, and there are threads at the interface, which can be fixed well when connected to the optical module.

ST Connector:

The material is metal, and the interface is a snap-on type, which is often used in optical fiber distribution frames.

SC Connector:

The material is plastic, push-pull connection, the interface can be stuck on the optical module, commonly used in switches.

LC Connector:

The material is plastic, used to connect the SFP optical module, the interface can be stuck on the optical module.

Common Ethernet interface Type

The electrical port(copper port), also known as the RJ45 port, is the port (network cable) where the twisted pair is inserted, which processes electrical signals.

Fiber type

e.g. multimode 850nm, 1310nm;

single mode 1310nm, 1550nm;

single fiber;

dual fiber;

Transmission distance for fiber

e.g. multimode 500m, 2Km;

single mode 20/40/60/80/100/120Km optional;

Transmission rate for fiber port

e.g.  Fiber port transmission rate: 100Mbps, 1000Mbps, 1.25Gbps, 10Gbps,25Gbps,40Gbps, 100Gbps and so on.

Power input

e.g. DC5V, DC12V, DC24V, DC48V, DC10-58V, AC110-240V

Transmission rate for copper port

e.g. RJ45 port transmission rate: 10/100Mbps, 10/100/1000Mbps

Transmission distance for copper

e.g.The maximum transmission distance for copper is 100m.
