The first thing to consider is the issue of transmission distance. Although the PoE power supply switch is convenient and flexible, the straight-line distance of power supply cannot exceed 100 meters.There are both power signals and data signals in the network cable. There is no distance limit for the power signal, which can be 200 meters or 500 meters.But data transmission can’t do it, because it has loss, the longer the distance, the greater the loss. In order to ensure the best video picture effect, according to the data transmission standard, the distance of PoE power supply cannot exceed 100 meters.

Secondly, the choice of PoE switch is inappropriate: that is, the quality of the selected PoE switch is not good enough, or the model is wrong. The choice of cheap POE exchange has a great influence. In a medium and large monitoring project, or a place with very high monitoring requirements, choosing some low-priced PoE switches is likely to cause problems, because product quality and performance cannot be 100% guaranteed.
