How to distinguish the quality of fiber optic transceivers

Speaking of fiber optic transceivers, we have to say its transmission stability and transmission distance. However, poor quality optical fiber transceivers are subject to various tests, so how do we distinguish poor quality optical fiber transceivers?

First look at the production logo. A good fiber optic transceiver should contain the following information: the name of the manufacturer, company name, trademark or other identifying marks. In addition, there are clear model codes, model specifications, etc. The logo of inferior fiber optic transceivers will not be too clear.

Second, look at the transmission distance. The optical fiber transceiver supports a complete transmission distance (0 ~ 120 kilometers), whether it is single-mode or multi-mode, there is a certain transmission distance. Inferior fiber optic transceivers may not meet ordinary transmission requirements in terms of transmission distance.

Finally, test by connecting the optical fiber. Check whether the indicator light of the fiber optic transceiver or optical module and the indicator light of the twisted pair port are flickering. If the light flickers, stop using the transceiver. The use of high-quality optical fiber transceivers can ensure the stable operation of data transmission, and the use of inferior optical fiber transceivers for cheap ones will cause inconvenience and unnecessary losses in the later period.
